Remember that your use of KMK Careers' Service is at all times subject to our Terms & Conditions, which incorporates this Privacy Policy. Any terms we use in this Privacy Policy without defining them have the definitions given to them in the Terms & Conditions. Our Privacy Policy applies to all users of the KMK Careers website: www.optometryboardsreview.com (and any subdomains) or any other KMK Careers-owned and/or operated website, mobile site, mobile application or social media account (collectively, “Sites”).

What does this Privacy Policy Cover?

KMK Careers may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Laws, regulations, and industry standards evolve, which may make those changes necessary, or we may make changes to our Service or business. We will post the changes to this page and encourage you to review our Privacy Policy to stay informed. If we make changes that materially alter your privacy rights, we will do our best to alert you to changes by placing a notice on the KMK Careers website, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. What Personal Data does KMK Careers Collect?

We collect Personal Data about you from:

• You: when you directly disclose information to us.
  • Account Information - when you register for an account or Service, which may include your name, email address, mailing address, username, password and phone number.
  • Transaction Information - when you transact for a Service through the Site, which may include limited payment information about you, such as payment method and payment card information; however, we do not store full payment card numbers. Our third party payment processor collects and processes all payment card transactions on our behalf.
• Automated Means: when you access or use the Sites, Personal Data about you is automatically collected in connection with your use of our Service or interaction with the Sites, including the following:
  • Usage Information - We collect information about your usage of, and interaction with the Sites. For example, we may collect and store statistics and other information about the online activities of our users on an aggregated (collective) basis, or we may track the number of people who view each page to learn which features are the most popular.

  Sales of Personal Data

  In this section, we use the term ‘sell’ as it is defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as may be supplemented by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CPRA”). KMK Careers may compile Personal Data collected through the channels described in this Privacy Policy to create profiles of people and companies, which we call “Profiles”. Profiles are then made available to users of the Service. Further, we sell your Profile data to our customers and data partners (such as resellers and syndication partners), subject to your right to opt-out of these sales (see the “Your Privacy Rights” section below for information about how to opt-out).

  We may also share your information with advertisers in order to help provide our ads to you. The CCPA and CPRA considers this a “sale” and, because of this, we are required to disclose these types of transfers as “sales” of personal information. However, we do not sell this information for monetary consideration. This type of sharing is also subject to your right to opt out of these sales (see the “Your Privacy Rights” section below for information about how to opt-out).

  We retain Personal Data about you for as long as you have an open account with us or as otherwise necessary to provide the Service. In some cases we retain Personal Data for longer, if doing so is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes or collect fees owed, or is otherwise permitted or required by applicable law, rule or regulation. Afterwards, we retain some information in a de-identified or aggregated form but not in a way that would identify you personally.

  Notice to International Users
  The Sites are hosted in the United States and are subject to U.S. law, and are intended for users located only in the U.S. If you are accessing the Sites from outside the United States, please be advised that U.S. law may not offer the same privacy protections as the laws of your jurisdiction. By accessing and using the Sites, you consent to the transfer to and processing of your personal information in the U.S.

  Personal Data of Children
  As noted in the Terms & Conditions, we do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from children under 16.   Right to Access and Data Portability

We will not deny you our goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, or provide you a lower quality of goods and services if you exercise your rights under this Privacy Policy. However, we may have different tiers of services as allowed by applicable data protection laws (including the CCPA and CPRA) with varying prices, rates, or levels of quality of the goods or services you receive related to the value of Personal Data that we receive from you.

  Exercising Your Privacy Rights
  To exercise the rights described above, you must send us a request that (1) provides sufficient information to allow us to verify that you are the person about whom we have collected Personal Data, and (2) describes your request in sufficient detail to allow us to understand, evaluate, and respond to it. Each request that meets both of these criteria will be considered a “Valid Request.” If your request is not valid, we have the right to deny the request and explain why. We will only use Personal Data provided in a Valid Request to verify you and complete your request. You do not need an account to submit a Valid Request.

  We will confirm receipt of your request within 10 business days, and will work to respond to your Valid Request within 45 days of receipt. We will not charge you a fee for making a Valid Request unless your Valid Request(s) is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that your Valid Request warrants a fee, we will notify you of the fee and explain that decision before completing your request.

  Share of Personal Data for Cross-Contextual Behavioral Advertising:

  “Shine the Light” Law:
